Going Green?

Post by jaqchapman » Tue Jun 15, 2010 6:43 am

I'm in Washington D.C. this week and I just visited this coffee shop that makes deliveries of coffee beans by bike. Not only do I wish Nashville had a better mass transit system but now I want my coffee beans delivered by the "pedaler."

Anyways...this made me think about different steps and efforts that people and businesses are making to be more ecofriendly and environmentally conscious. I myself now recycle everything, use as little electricity and water as possible, purchase carbon off-sets for all the flying I do, eat vegetarian and I'm going to start composting later this summer - so that I can have a smaller impact on the environment.

And I was just curious, what are you guys doing? What are your stations doing? Do you encourage listeners at all to be environmentally conscious? God does show preference to the poor and the needy but he also shows preference for his creation and we are to be good stewards of it.

Thoughts?
